Still looking for the woman of my dreams...
I do research on the native languages of the Brazilian Amazon, employee of the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology
PhD from City Univ of New York in Anthropology, with specialization in Linguistics. Went to Brazil to do research and ended up staying at a federal research institute, the Museu Goeldi, in Belém. I do research and train Brazilian students. Got a MacArthur Fellowship in 1999.
I get out to the jungle once in a while. It's nice there.

I always did what I could for the Indians here.
Favorite memory of MHS:
Joe Rinehart with that silicon perch finger when the assistant principal was trying to orient us for graduation.
